Originally established circa 1992 by Jayne Knight, Knight Design Interiors first opened its doors nestled within the beautiful countryside at Wickham Bishops.
Following rapid expansion and growth alongside Housing Developers such as Countryside Properties, Laing O'Rourke, David Wilson Homes, City and Country and Hillreed Properties, Elizabeth Perry (nee Cooper) joined the team.
Knight Design Interiors have exhibited with pride at House and Garden Fair on numerous occasions and Elizabeth Perry is an Associate Member of the BIID. Following Jayne's partial retirement in 2005, Elizabeth Perry relocated the Company to the pretty village of Stock, and more recently Chelmsford.

Knight Design Interiors now has a beautiful new accessible home in the court yard within the grounds of Hylands Estate, Chelmsford. Recently being approved as a member of House and Garden's 'The List', Knight Design Interiors is now privileged to offer current fabric and wallpaper collections from design houses such as Colefax and Fowler, Mulberry, GP & J Baker, and more recently Liberty Home Fabric.
Elizabeth Perry (nee Cooper) graduated with Honors at the renowned school on Interior Design, KLC in the heart of Chelsea Design Centre, London. Here, Elizabeth was awarded the Donghia award for Spatial Design and presented her entire year's work at Graduation after being voted by her peers. Elizabeth Perry is an Associate Member of the BIID.
Elizabeth went on to work for Knight Design Interiors and was asked to design a room set for House and Garden Fair in 2001, titled 'New York' and inspired by the fashion designer Donna Karan.
Now Director and Owner at Knight Design Interiors, Elizabeth is inspired by quirky colour combinations and mixing the old with the new. Never shy of pattern and colour, Elizabeth can cleverly combine schemes to produce a stunning and timeless effect. William Yeoward, Nina Campbell and Mulberry Home are among Elizabeth's favourite brands to seek inspiration.
Jayne has been designing interiors for 20 years. Inspired by Sybil Colefax and John Fowler, Nicki Haslem, Nina Campbell and Kelly Hoppen, she has a wealth of experience from designing holiday homes in Canada and Spain to listed houses in London and new builds in Chigwell.
Jayne's priority is always to collaborate with the client, interpreting their style and colour pallet to create a unique home that reflects the client not the designer. Jayne's interest in Art and Antiques can help clients source unique pieces to complement any interior style.
Jayne has been recognized for her work and featured in national magazines and was chosen to create a dining room for House & Gardens Magazines show house at Olympia.
Karen Parker has worked with Knight Design Interiors for 8 years. Karen trained at the renowned school of Interior Design, KLC in the heart of Chelsea Design Centre, London.
Following overseeing numerous house builds and interior renovations, Karen has a passion for spatial design and cleverly combines the practicalities of everyday living with a touch of glamour.
Karen works with clients to create elegant interiors inspired by texture and colour combinations that seamlessly blend the classic with the contemporary.
